Dahyun Ryu (류다현, 柳多炫) is an internationally award-winning interdisciplinary artist based in California, United States, and Seoul, Republic of Korea. You can call her Roo for short–Roo, as in kangaroo.​ This is similar to how her surname, Ryu, is pronounced.

Roo, a lover of dark and creepy folklores with the biggest sweet tooth, always aspires to become the real-life version of Willy Wonka. She brings this whimsical spirit to life through the sweet sensations of analog and digital processes, crafting surrealist and magical realist narratives. Passionate about exploring diverse art-making techniques, Roo works across mixed media, including drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, coding, filmmaking, game development, comics, sound design, performance, installation, and more!​
